David Toti

David Toti was previously with BB&T Capital Markets as Managing Director and Senior REIT Research Analyst. Prior to joining BB&T, David spent a combined thirteen years as a Senior REIT Research Analyst and Group Head at Cantor Fitzgerald and FBR & Co., and served as a co-coverage analyst at Citi and Lehman Brothers. In that time, he has covered all real estate asset classes, including office, retail, multifamily, industrial, data centers, storage and healthcare. In 2015, StarMine awarded David and his team the #2 “Top Stock Picker” award within the REIT sector.

Prior to his career in finance, David practiced as an architect for ten years with Pelli Clarke Pelli, Architects, and worked as a senior designer on a number of large commercial projects, both domestically and abroad, including the Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. and the Bloomberg Headquarters in Manhattan. David holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and an MBA in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
