Matt Bartoe has a diverse background in supply chain management, operations, and sales in the consumer packaged goods manufacturing space. This gives him a unique perspective into macro industry trends and a holistic view of supply chains.
In his current role of General Manager, Food Colors North America for Sensient Technologies Corporation (SXT), he leads the largest business unit within Sensient Colors LLC: the leading manufacturer of food colors in the industry. He is responsible for 450 employees across the US and Canada. His previous experience as Commercial Director for Sensient Food Colors North America provides him with a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities that are in front of leading brands today. His sales strategy and leadership has led to more than 30% growth – outpacing market growth for six straight years.
In previous roles with Sensient, he led the Industrial Colors business and directed supply chain and operations for the Inks business before its divestiture. His supply chain and operations background were crucial in managing these global supply chains and manufacturing in North America and Europe.
Prior to Sensient, he led operations and supply chain for a mid-sized food co-manufacturer supplying multinational CPG companies. He also served as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the United States Navy managing construction projects, facilities, and contracts.
Bartoe holds a master’s of business administration in supply chain management from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a bachelor’s of science in engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
