Biography
Steven M. Boeder is Director, Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management and also a senior lecturer in the department of Operations and Technology Management within the Wisconsin School of Business. Previously he was the Director of Operations for The Vollrath Company, a manufacturing company located in the Madison area. His work experience includes implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, deployment of Lean Enterprise techniques, six sigma and quality systems, continuous improvement methodologies and supply chain management, distribution, and manufacturing systems.
Steve conducts workshops on Lean, Visual Management, and Production, Planning and Control. He is coauthor of “The Lean Extended Enterprise – Moving Beyond the Four Walls to Value Stream Excellence”.
He holds a MBA from the Edgewood College in Madison and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Additionally, Steve has successfully completed studies in Six Sigma Black Belt from Moresteam University. He is recognized by APICS with certifications in Integrated Resource Management and Production and Inventory Management.
