Start your business journey a step ahead.\n\n\n\nThe Business and Math (BAM) Bridge program is an early-start program for incoming first year students\, built to boost your math skills and set you up for success in your first semester of math at UW–Madison and beyond. \n\n\n\nIn the program\, you will: \n\n\n\n\nRefresh and strengthen your math skills.\n\n\n\nMeet and learn from UW–Madison instructors and clued into campus resources. \n\n\n\nGain access to ALEKS\, an online math skill development program.\n\n\n\nParticipate in a mini business case competition.\n\n\n\nBuild connections with other first year students.\n\n\n\nRetake the placement exam on the final day—and hopefully improve your score!\n\n\n\n\nWith a higher placement score\, you can enroll in a more advanced math course and set you up for a stronger start to your college career. Business is a quantitative field\, and we want you to thrive in math during your time at UW–Madison. \n\n\n\nReady to improve your math placement?\n\n\n\nRegister using the form linked below by August 1! (Late submissions are not accepted.) \n\n\n\nSign up for BAM \n\n\n\nWhen you sign up\, you’ll receive a confirmation email and an email containing your ALEKS program license to help you prepare ahead of the program. This program will help you brush up on your skills so you’re ready to take on the pre-calculus curriculum covered in BAM. \n\n\n\nWe will be hosting several virtual Q&A sessions about ALEKS. These sessions will take place on Zoom: \n\n\n\n\nTuesday\, June 16 | 11 a.m.-12 p.m.\n\n\n\nWednesday\, July 1  | 11 a.m.–12 p.m.\n\n\n\nFriday\, July 17  | 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.\n\n\n\n\nAccess the Zoom sessions here! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDo not re-take the placement exam before attending BAM.\n\n\n\nYou only get one opportunity to re-take the math placement exam. To maximize your chance of placing into a higher course\, please save your re-try for the final day of BAM. \n\n\n\nHave questions about your math placement and/or re-taking the exam? Ask your academic advisor at SOAR. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHave questions about BAM?  \n\n\n\nEmail us at successandpolicy@wsb.wisc.edu
