DESCRIPTION:Behavioral Operations Management Summer Institute \n\n\n\nJune 2 -6\, 2025 \n\n\n\nWisconsin School of Business\, University of Wisconsin – Madison \n\n\n\nAbout BOMSI 2025 \n\n\n\nThe Behavioral Operations Management Summer Institute for doctoral students will be held June 2-6\, 2025 (Monday through Friday) at the Wisconsin School of Business\, University of Wisconsin-Madison.  \n\n\n\nThe 1-week intensive summer institute is designed to provide doctoral students who are interested in behavioral research a solid foundation to conduct behavioral operations management research. Additionally\, we hope that the summer institute will encourage collaboration and the creation of a research community among the next generation of researchers. \n\n\n\nEach day of the institute includes morning and afternoon sessions. Morning sessions provide a general overview of behavioral operations management\, review core behavioral economics/psychology topics\, and discuss operations management applications.  Afternoon sessions focus on practical aspects of research (e.g. brainstorming ideas\, working with companies\, presenting your work)\, as well as the academic career (e.g. developing a research agenda\, building a research community\, managing the job market). There will also be free time to prepare for the next day\, have office hours\, pair up to work on ideas\, and get to know each other. \n\n\n\nApplying for the Summer Institute is free.
