DESCRIPTION:Behavioral Operations Management Summer Institute \n\n\n\nJune 2 -6\, 2025 \n\n\n\nWisconsin School of Business\, University of Wisconsin – Madison \n\n\n\nAbout BOMSI 2025 \n\n\n\nThe Behavioral Operations Management Summer Institute for doctoral students will be held June 2-6\, 2025 (Monday through Friday) at the Wisconsin School of Business\, University of Wisconsin-Madison.  \n\n\n\nThe 1-week intensive summer institute is designed to provide doctoral students who are interested in behavioral research a solid foundation to conduct behavioral operations management research. Additionally\, we hope that the summer institute will encourage collaboration and the creation of a research community among the next generation of researchers. \n\n\n\nEach day of the institute includes morning and afternoon sessions. Morning sessions provide a general overview of behavioral operations management\, review core behavioral economics/psychology topics\, and discuss operations management applications.  Afternoon sessions focus on practical aspects of research (e.g. brainstorming ideas\, working with companies\, presenting your work)\, as well as the academic career (e.g. developing a research agenda\, building a research community\, managing the job market). There will also be free time to prepare for the next day\, have office hours\, pair up to work on ideas\, and get to know each other. \n\n\n\nApplying for the Summer Institute is free. Attendees will be required to cover their own cost of travel and accommodations in the Madison area. Corinne is involved in leadership at the Wisconsin School of Business and across campus\, where she is the president of the National Pan-Hellenic Council\, commonly known as the Divine Nine\, and the Vice President for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority\, Inc – the Eta Iota Chapter. At WSB\, she is a Business Emerging Leaders (BEL) Scholar and also has had several leadership roles in Women in Business\, including senior vice president of DEI\, sustainability director\, and inclusion director.   \n\n\n\nDuring her time as a student\, Corinne has had internships at Wilson Sporting Goods\, Wisconsin Football\, and Adidas. She is exploring opportunities in the sports\, retail\, entertainment\, or tech industry through a marketing specialization after graduation. Corinne would like to extend thanks to her support system\, “I would like to thank my parents\, siblings\, the Business Emerging Leaders Program\, my career coach Melissa Leffin\, and my entire support network of family\, friends\, and mentors for pouring into me throughout the years.”    \n\n\n\nIn her speech\, Corinne will reflect on the valuable lessons she has learned from curating her own unique journey\, and overcoming the urge to compare her path to others. The data helps inform students of what makes an offer competitive\, so by completing this survey\, you will help us help future Badgers. \nDress Code & Conduct \nGraduates should wear academic regalia (cap and gown) over business professional attire for the Spring BBA Graduation Celebration and the official campus Commencement at Camp Randall. View the University Book Store’s timeline for deadlines to order and pick up your regalia. \nGraduates are expected to demonstrate appropriate conduct during the entirety of the event such as remaining seated or in designated areas unless directed and not interrupting speakers or the proceedings. \nProhibited items include signs\, flags\, sticks\, noisemakers or bullhorns. \nDiploma Covers \nGraduates will receive a red diploma folder at the BBA Graduation Celebration. The actual diploma will be mailed six to eight weeks after grades are entered to the permanent home address listed in the MyUW Student Center. \nName Reading \nUpon arrival\, graduates will need to check-in and pickup their pre-printed cards. Hold onto the cards until you cross the stage where it will be read and displayed. \nArrival & Seating \nAll graduates should arrive no later than 1:30 pm\, entering through the indicated South entrance to the arena floor level. Graduates and staff escorts are the only ones permitted in this area. There is no assigned seating for graduates\, they are welcome to stand by their friends and process into the program together for seating. View the graduate instructions for more detailed overview. \n                            \n                         \n                                            \n                \n                                \n                    \n                        \n                            Guest Information                            Food and Beverage \nThe Alliant Energy Center will have concessions available for guest purchase. Guests are welcome to bring their own bottled water into the event and personal snack items. No food and beverage is provided at this event. \nArrival and Seating \nDoors open at 12:30 pm\, and we ask that all guests are seated by 2:00 pm to begin the program. No tickets are required to attend. Guest seating is general admission\, first-come\, first-served. There is no limit to the number of guests that graduates may bring. Please review the accessibility arrival and seating instructions if you or your guests have accessibility requests. \nOnly graduates and staff escorts are allowed on the floor during the entirety of the event. \nView seating map. \nLive Stream \nThe program will be live streamed starting at 2:00 pm CST. A link will be provided on this website closer to the event. \nProgram \nView the full BBA Graduation Celebration Program here. A printed program with graduate names will be available for all attendees of the Saturday\, May 10 Camp Randall Commencement. Graduates must have applied to graduate prior to March 21 to have their name featured in the Camp Randall program. \nCeremony Etiquette \nTo create and preserve a memorable experience for graduates and guests\, we ask that all attendees adhere to our ceremony etiquette guidelines and decorum. \n                            \n                         \n                                            \n                \n                                \n                    \n                        \n                            Accessibility & Parking                            Accessibility  \nFor wheelchair users or those with accessibility needs\, guests should enter on the west side of the Alliant Energy Center Veterans Memorial Coliseum\, nearest to the New Holland Pavilion. The only elevator is located just inside of the west entrance\, near Section 224. We will have ushers available to help guests locate the both the elevator and the reserved seating. \nWheelchair accessible seating is available on the concourse level in Sections 206\, 208\, 210\, 212\, 222\, 224\, 226\, and 228. Please note that we will only have room for the guest needing accessible seating and one companion—large parties will not be able to be seated together. \nAlliant Energy Center Veterans Memorial Coliseum has a drop-off lane to minimize travel between the car and seating. There is also reserved parking reserved for those with an ADA hang-tag. \nWheelchairs and other mobility aids are not provided by at the Alliant Energy Center Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Guests should provide their own equipment for accessibility needs. \nThe event is live-streamed online\, and also projected on large display screens at the event. On the live-stream and screens\, closed captioning is provided for the hearing impaired. \nGeneral Parking \nParking at Alliant Energy Center –  Veterans Memorial Coliseum is complimentary to BBA Graduation Celebration attendees. There are two parking areas and two main entrances. Please follow signage and parking attendant directions upon arrival. \nIf you do not have transportation to the Alliant Energy Center\, consider taking the bus or using a ride share service\, such as Uber or Lyft. Bus Route O runs from Johnson Street to the Alliant Energy Center every hour. \nAccessibility Needs Parking & Arrival \nThe west parking lot offers a drop-off lane close to the West entrance\, but will still require a short walk to the building. Accessible parking at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum is limited and is on a first-come\, first-served basis. She has spearheaded customer-led strategic transformations\, leveraging data science and analytics to drive recommendations. Keely has also guided the design and implementation of data and analytics organizations for clients. She specializes in the development of strategy and execution of new data and analytics businesses. Recently\, Keely has focused on advising clients on generative AI strategy\, use case development\, and implementation. Prior to Bain\, she held leadership roles in major consulting firms and industry\, and she was an economics professor and published researcher. Keely holds degrees from Georgetown University and the London School of Economics.
