Does greater corporate tax transparency actually help investors, or could it have unintended consequences? New research co-authored by Christian Peters, assistant professor of accounting and information systems, and featured in Forbes, explores this critical question.
As new disclosure requirements take effect, Peters and his collaborators examine how investors interpret expanded tax information, and what their findings reveal may challenge common assumptions about transparency and decision-making.
