The Wisconsin School of Business has been selected as a beta partner for the new Iris Booth platform. We are among the first institutions in the country to pilot these new features. The pilot will run through April 2026.
What’s New
- Real-Time Guidance: The booth now provides straightforward, step-by-step instructions from the moment you sit down. You’ll get simple tips on posing, where to look, and how to sit to ensure the best results.
- On-Screen Cropping: No more “accidental” head-chops. You can now select from preset crops or manually fine-tune your shot to stay perfectly centered with an appropriate amount of headroom.
- New Backgrounds: Choose from professional environmental settings or classic solid colors to match your photo.
- Custom Enhancements: In addition to auto-enhance, you now have manual control over brightness and contrast to get your lighting just right.
Note: As with any beta test, you might encounter an occasional technical hiccup. We appreciate your patience as we iron out the kinks with the vendor.
For Returning Users
During this beta period, you will receive an email asking you to activate your account on the new platform. For a short time, you will have two accounts under the same email address. Once the pilot ends in April, all your photos (past and present) will be merged into a single, permanent account.
Reminders
- Content Review: All Iris photos are reviewed for quality and content.
- One Person Per Session: Our backdrop is a bit sensitive! Group photos tend to knock it off-center, exposing the wall behind it and making things messy for the next user. Help us keep it photo-ready for everyone.
- Group Reservations: Email WSBIrisAdmins@office365.wisc.edu to reserve the booth for groups of five or more people.
