The Wisconsin Business Alumni (WBA) Board is made up of members from UW–Madison’s alumni network representing a diverse mix of industries, degrees, regions, and backgrounds. This expert cohort is selected based on a variety of criteria, including their experience and interest in matters related to alumni engagement and WSB.
WBA Board members are some of the school’s most dedicated alumni and supporters. Understanding the value of their degrees and the Business Badger network, the board is instrumental in connecting alumni and friends to the school and with each other.
In partnership with the school’s alumni relations team, the WBA Board helps WSB to activate regional networks, open doors to industry, and engage young alumni.
There are ongoing activities required of board members, including participation in monthly meetings and regional events as well as other volunteer opportunities.
Travel to one in-person board meeting in Madison and participation in three board conference calls is required.
If you are interested in joining the board or know someone else who may be interested, submit a nomination. The executive committee conducts an annual recruitment process, incorporating input from current and former board members, WSB staff, and the alumni community. Selections for open positions are made in February, with two-year terms beginning in October.
To be considered for positions beginning in October, nominations must be submitted by January 31.
The number of open positions varies each year. All nominations will be kept on file and reviewed for relevant opportunities as they become available.
