Harrison Street/Capital One Real Estate Private Equity Undergraduate Case Competition
Friday, November 6 – Monday, November 9
The Real Estate Private Equity Club assigns students to 15 teams of three to four based on academic year, classes completed, and internship experience. Students have nine days to build an underwriting model, presentation, and executive summary for a team of judges comprised of Harrison Street and Capital One employees, UW Faculty, and UW students.

Wednesday, November 6
12:00 p.m. Student PowerPoint presentations, Executive Summaries, and Excel Models distributed to case competition judging teams.
Thursday, November 7
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Judges Meet in the Graaskamp Center for Lunch and to Review the Process
● Graaskamp Center is in 4440 Grainger Hall, in the Wisconsin School of Business, 975 University Avenue
1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Preliminary judging in teams of three judges in the Learning Center Rooms — 3210A, 3210B, 3210C – must enter from second floor and walk up.
● Each team has a 30-minute presentation and Q&A timeline as follows (three judging teams with five presentations):
● Presentations: 15 minutes
● Q&A from the judges: 10 minutes
● Judges note-taking and prep for next case: 5-minutes
3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Judges make recommendations to the Final Round in Graaskamp Center, Grainger 4440 (total of 3-5 finalist teams)
● One student team from each of the three judging teams
● Zero-to-two at-large teams
4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Real Estate Private Equity Class Meets with Harrison Street professionals presenting to the Class in Grainger 2335 (TBD)
7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Fluno Center, 601 University Avenue, 8th Floor Skyview Room/Smitty’s Study Pub
● Announce which teams made the Final Round
● Heavy appetizers and beverages

9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Final Round Presentations (Executive Dining Room, 1266 Grainger Hall)
● 3-5 teams presenting
● Third Place, Second Place, and First Place Winners Announced
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Lunch and Announcement of the Winners (Executive Dining Room, 1266 Grainger Hall)
