A trusted advisor and broker for both occupiers and landlords, Andrew Sachs joined Newmark at its New York headquarters in 2013 and serves as a Vice Chairman. Today, Sachs provides creative solutions to address his prominent clients’ complex real estate requirements. With more than three decades in the real estate industry, his significant expertise includes commercial leasing, new construction, leasehold condominiums, workplace strategy, financial and market analyses. To date, Sachs has negotiated more than 46 million square feet of transactions.

Over the course of his expansive career, Sachs has honed his expertise in finding creative, beneficial solutions that match his clients’ real estate strategies. He has represented tenants including The New York Times Company; The Madison Square Garden Company (Entertainment, Sports and Networks); Marsh McLennan; Clayton Dubilier & Rice Holdings, LP; MFA Financial, Inc.; Girl Scouts of the USA; and Weill Cornell Medicine.

As a landlord advisor, Sachs has directed the marketing, repositioning and leasing of a number of high-profile properties on behalf of a wide variety of institutional and entrepreneurial building owners, including Fisher Brothers, Rudin Management Company, Vornado Realty Trust and Paramount Group.

Prior to joining Newmark, Sachs served as Executive Director with Cushman & Wakefield and, earlier in his career, as Managing Director with Insignia/ESG.

Sachs is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). He received REBNY’s 2009 Edward S. Gordon Award for the sale and leaseback financing of a 750,000-square-foot condominium interest in The New York Times building. Sachs holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Boston Univeristy and has been a board memebr since 2018.
