Chad Sorenson is the president and founder of SunPeak, a national developer and installer of commercial and industrial solar systems.
Prior to SunPeak, Chad founded and managed Sologear, a consumer products manufacturing company, and Fluent Systems, an agricultural technology company. He is a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) PV Installation Professional and holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering, as well as an MBA in entrepreneurship from UW-Madison.
Chad is a prominent UW alumnus and has been recognized with numerous awards including the Chancellor’s Entrepreneurship Award, the UW College of Engineering Early Career Achievement Award and the UW Forward Under 40 Award. He has taught upper level courses on innovation and entrepreneurship. He also serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for UW-Madison’s Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Weinert Applied Ventures in Entrepreneurship program.
