Kristi Peterson is the Executive Director and Corporate Controller for SC Johnson. In her role, Kristi leads global financial reporting processes, business planning and analysis and technical accounting for the Company. In addition, she provides business and financial oversight to the Headquarter functions within SCJ and is responsible for recruiting for Finance and Accounting function.
Prior to her current role, Kristi Peterson was the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting and Headquarters Finance for SC Johnson (SCJ) since January 2014. Prior to January 2014, she held several other Finance positions of increasing responsibility including Finance Director – North America Planning & Analysis and Finance Controller – HR, Controls and Acquisitions being a member of the Finance organization at SCJ for the past 20 years.
Kristi’s business accomplishments at SCJ include leading the Finance integration of the global acquisition of Shoe Care and Pest Control brands acquired from Sara Lee. She is a key source of expertise on all finance and accounting matters relating to acquisitions. While in North America Finance, she delivered both process and cost efficiencies by re-engineering the financial planning process and identifying significant opportunities to optimize marketing spend. She also partnered with HR to design & implement our global profit sharing program and played a lead role in SCJ’s transformation initiative for the Headquarters functions.
Prior to joining SCJ, Kristi worked for four years in various audit roles for PwC LLP.
Kristi has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Central Michigan University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Kristi and her husband Brian live in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and have five children.
