Robert M. Vrchota is a managing director in Fitch’s commercial mortgage department. Bob has been with the rating agency for more than 22 years and is responsible for analyzing a variety of CMBS transactions including conduit, fusion, large loan, credit tenant lease, and re-remic transactions in both the U.S. and Canada. Bob is also a model officer who oversees the enhancement of Fitch’s CMBS modeling tools to analyze the loan-level and property-level predictors of default and loss, along with stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and concentrations. Bob is also in charge of Fitch’s criteria for analyzing wireless tower securitizations. Lastly, Bob oversees nearly two dozen analysts in Fitch’s CMBS department in Chicago.
Prior to joining Fitch in 1994, Bob worked as a research assistant at the Bureau of Business & Economic Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Bob earned a BS in finance with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
