Each week students look forward to the opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs at the Weinert Center’s Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch Program. While the program looked different after the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted in-person classes and events, students were still able to connect with accomplished entrepreneurs virtually.
Undergraduate and professional studies students join each week to network, learn, and seek advice from experts in a variety of industries. “I really look forward to the Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch talks each week” said Johnnie Wagman, a second year MBA student. “Even if it’s an industry or topic I’m not particularly interested in, I always learn something new and hear interesting stories. It’s a fantastic way to network and I have continued relationships with a number of speakers,” Johnnie added.
Nine entrepreneurs from diverse industries and backgrounds shared their time and talents with students this spring. The speakers were from the packaged goods, artisan food, personal services, venture capital, health diagnostics, technology, and legal industries. Students asked questions about entrepreneurs’ journeys, decision making, business growth, work-life-balance, idea evaluation, and many more. We are grateful to all of our featured entrepreneurs who volunteered their time and shared their valuable experiences with students this semester.
We graciously thank Neider & Boucher, S.C. for their sponsorship and support of the Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch Program!
