From driving Oscar Mayer’s Wienermobile through a blizzard to driving product innovation at Peloton, Kelly Goldthorpe (MBA ’15) faces challenges head on—and has fun while doing it.
As a leader in product management for the company’s app strategy, Kelly fosters growth at Peloton by introducing new features and product offerings. Her work with Peloton Corporate Wellness, which allows businesses to offer Peloton services to their employees at a discounted rate, has resulted in immense growth for the company—yielding over 100,000 new members.
Before entering the world of product management, Kelly held roles in consulting at Prophet and led marketing efforts for bikes and scooters at Lyft. She’s thankful for the powerful network she honed during her MBA program, which empowered her to make these successful career changes. “The relationships we built extend far beyond our graduation ceremony,” she says.
One of her fondest memories of her graduate experience was participating in a global Women in Business case competition at Notre Dame. Upon arrival, Kelly and her team of three of women were surprised to see that theirs was the only all-female team. What wasn’t surprising, however, was taking home the first-place trophy at the end of the day.
When Kelly isn’t innovating at Peloton, she’s using her passion for biking and fitness to make a positive impact in her community. In addition to coaching for Girls on the Run—a program that teaches life and running skills to girls in elementary school—Kelly has served on transportation advocacy boards and is currently on a mission to teach 1,000 people how to ride a bike.
