The student organization Women in Real Estate (WIRE) is kicking off another exciting semester at the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB)! The first spring meeting was on Wednesday, January 29th with Dominium. It included an overview of WIRE by the executive board, and then a panel of industry professionals spoke about their experiences in affordable housing with an open Q&A. Immediately following the meeting, panelist and students gathered at the nearby restaurant Cento for dinner and networking.

This spring, WIRE members will enjoy four more speaker-based meetings, a few socials, including one with Real Estate Club, and a career trek to Chicago in April. As part of this trip, members will hear from firms like Wells Fargo, Pearlmark, and Heitman, take a walking tour of Chicago developments, and will network with professionals at a Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA) social.

WIRE aims to bring together like-minded women who are passionate about the real estate sphere and provide support amidst a historically male-dominated industry. These events are focused on expanding the breadth of knowledge of interested students while also facilitating long-lasting connections with alumni.

WIRE is looking forward to a great upcoming semester!
