The talk will outline the current state-of-art for healthcare data types and modalities available for the application and development of medical AI/ML products and software services, including medical images, waveforms, genomics, and more, and seek to provide a current “state of the union” on the most widely deployed applications of clinical AI that are in-use today across medical specialties including cardiology, neurology, and other areas. A Case Study will be presented on the company EnsoData to examine working examples of the clinical and financial ROI resulting from AI/ML implementations in the vertical of Sleep Medicine, including AI systems that have been used by doctors and clinicians to support Sleep Apnea diagnosis and treatment monitoring for over 2,000,000 adults in the U.S. The talk will conclude with an exploration of future strategic directions and applications for AI/ML in diagnostics and precision therapeutics that remain unaddressed clinical challenges and market opportunities both for incumbent corporations and upstarting teams alike, with a brief discussion and firsthand perspective on the entrepreneurship journey and venture capital financing in the medical AI market. | ||
