Wisconsin School of Business graduates enjoyed an unforgettable commencement send-off as Grainger Hall was set aglow with a spectacular light show: The Power of 1,087 Business Badgers.

The entire east exterior of Grainger Hall became a giant projection screen on Saturday, May 8 from 8:30-10:00 p.m., featuring animations, well wishes from faculty and staff, and the name of every WSB graduate.

The project was live-streamed for remote viewing and remains available on WSB’s Facebook page.

Grainger Hall was illuminated during commencement weekend to celebrate The Power of 1,087 Business Badgers.
Reflections from WSB faculty and staff, including Dean Vallabh “Samba” Sambamurthy, offered congratulations and encouragement to WSB graduates.
The light show celebrated all that Business Badgers have accomplished during their time at WSB.
The names of every WSB graduate flashed on the building as part of the projection.
Though most watched remotely, a few observers came in person to see their names in lights.
A festive finale to commencement weekend, the light show also offered a quiet moment of reflection for some graduates.
After a disruptive year, UW–Madison graduates have certainly earned accolades for their perseverance and hard work.
