The Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship at the Wisconsin School of Business announced the creation of a new faculty chair and fellowship—both in enterprise development—on October 26.

The Robert Pricer Chair in Enterprise Development is named for former entrepreneurship professor Robert Pricer, who retired in 2002 and was inducted into the Weinert Center’s Hall of Fame in May 2005. Popular with students and alumni for his personal impact, Pricer was selected by BusinessWeek as one of the nation’s top 10 entrepreneurship professors in 1996, and he has received numerous University of Wisconsin-Madison honors for his teaching and public service. Pricer has also authored multiple books and more than 100 articles on entrepreneurship. The chair was made possible by the generosity of James J. Weinert.

The newly created Fellowship in Enterprise Development is designed for second-year MBA students who have a passion for leading new ventures, driving innovation, and pursuing entrepreneurship. In addition to MBA core and specialization coursework, the fellows will take four entrepreneurship courses and will work closely with mentors. The fellowship is sponsored by the Weinert Center.
