Aaron Kornetzke brings innovation to your doctor’s office

At health care platform Doximity, Aaron Kornetzke (BBA ’11) leads a 40-person team that licenses and deploys new clinical workflow tools, from patient communication and on-call scheduling services to AI-powered productivity software to help busy physicians. Since joining the company in 2017, he’s helped greatly expand Doximity’s scope, including the development of a robust telehealth platform that saw significant growth during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We build things that ultimately help doctors take better care of patients,” says Aaron.

As a Badger fan growing up in Oregon, Wisconsin, Aaron knew there was only one college for him: UW–Madison. He jumped at the chance to study finance at the Wisconsin School of Business, and after graduation, was recruited to Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. There, he’d maintain his Badger pride by serving as the city’s Wisconsin Alumni Association chapter president and never passing up the chance to boast about the asset that is UW–Madison’s vast alumni network.

“Every state, every country, and every company all seem to have some Badgers,” says Aaron. “So, you have a built-in network wherever you go.”

In addition to preparing him for a fulfilling career, Aaron says WSB also helped him develop his own brand of leadership—a “player-coach” style that’s rooted in humble, roll-up-your-sleeves Midwestern values. “I lead the team and set the goals, but like to be in the trenches with them doing whatever needs to be done,” he says.
