An early member of the analytics team at Spaulding Ridge, Annika Olsen (BBA ’21, MS ’22) established best practices, defined success metrics from the client perspective, and laid the groundwork for key projects and major milestones. A driving force in the company’s success, Annika continues to make an impact by fostering meaningful client relationships and mentoring the next generation of developers. “I get to help other people learn how to be good developers and managers, which is what I’m passionate about.”
Through WSB’s Master of Science-Business: Analytics (MSBA) program, Annika honed her skills in technical decision-making and toured Spaulding Ridge through one of the program’s career exploration trips. “I was introduced to a team of excellent data engineers and developers on that trip, and I just knew I wanted to be one of them.”
She now hosts the same tour that she took as a student and is actively involved in recruiting at the company—opening the door to new analysts and developers, including Business Badgers like herself.
Annika describes herself as an evangelist for the MSBA degree, crediting her WSB education for preparing her to tackle any problem thrown her way. “The MSBA program gives you a tool kit of ideas and solutions to solve real-world problems. It teaches you how to learn for the future.”
Outside of her professional role, Annika is passionate about supporting and empowering others. She is part of Women Elevate, an employee resource group at Spaulding Ridge, where she serves as a mentor and creates space for women to speak freely about their passions, career aspirations, and perspectives.
