Prepared for what’s next
At the heart of WSB is an undergraduate program that continues to innovate, combining a world-class curriculum with robust leadership development opportunities and holistic student support. That commitment is reflected in exceptional career outcomes: 94% of the Class of 2025 secured full-time jobs within six months of graduation, while average starting salaries continue to rise year over year.
“Employers really value the unique Business Badger ethos of humility and hard work, and we’re seeing growing recognition for the ‘Public Ivy’ mindset Wisconsin embraces so well, said Jim Franzone, associate dean of the undergraduate program office. “We’re proud to offer the best of both worlds with massive scale, one-of-a-kind resources, and the limitless opportunities of a Big Ten campus, paired with individual support so every student feels known and encouraged.”
“By the time our students graduate, they have the skills and mindsets they need to make an impact wherever they land.”

Rising to the top
The school’s momentum is anchored by exceptional performances across its academic departments. Real Estate and Urban Land Economics once again secured the top spot in the country, while Risk and Insurance climbed from last year’s #3 spot to #1 in this year’s rankings.
“Earning the #1 ranking reflects the strength of our faculty, the quality of our research, and the deep partnerships we have built across the industry,” said Justin Sydnor, American Family Insurance Distinguished Chair in Risk Management and Insurance and risk and insurance department chair. “Most importantly, it demonstrates our commitment to preparing students to lead in an increasingly complex risk landscape. We’re honored to lead the way.”
Strong performances across multiple disciplines underscore the Wisconsin School of Business’ growing national reputation.
“The U.S. News & World Report rankings reflect the insights of our peers at business schools across the country,” said Daniel Bauer, senior associate dean for programs. We’re honored that the hard work our community puts in every day is recognized and respected by those who know this space best.”
