Danielle Dresden is a playwright, actor, residency artist, and arts administrator. She is producing artistic director of TNW Ensemble Theater, which she co-founded in 1985. Dresden is the author of 38 plays performed across the United States and abroad. Some of them have won awards and some have not. Because of her commitment to empowering artists and improving access to the arts and as a Kennedy Center-trained teaching artist, Danielle devotes considerable time to residencies and teaching, facilitating connection with theater and the arts for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. She is a member and an Ambassador for the Dramatists Guild and serves on the Barrymore Theater Board of Directors and the Bolz Center for Arts Administration Advisory Board. Dresden received BAs in Journalism and Comparative Literature and a Masters in Business in Arts Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A former reporter, her arts administration experience includes work as the acting editor for the Association for Performing Arts Presenters, and a three-year stint as a development director in community radio.
