Mark Kleinlein is a partner in Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP’s Insurance Department. Kleinlein has more than 15 years of experience in insurance as an attorney, broker, and company executive. He concentrates his practice in the area of alternative risk financing, and counsels clients on captive insurance matters, including feasibility studies, formation, and ongoing management.

Kleinlein has experience in policy drafting and interpretation, third-party contract review, and insurance program negotiations with insurers and reinsurers. He is also a licensed insurance broker and member of the State Bar of Michigan.

Prior to joining Honigman, Kleinlein served as senior vice president at Aon, vice president at Marsh, and client advocate at Willis.

He holds a B.A. in political science/pre-law from Michigan State University, a JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and an MBA in risk management and insurance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
