Biography

Kelly Newbold (Boudreau) is a Faculty Associate in the Marketing Department and brings over 20 years of corporate experience to her position. She is classically trained in brand management and has held a variety of marketing roles such as marketing strategy, new product development, global brand management, integrated communications, and channel marketing. She’s worked at well-known companies on household brands including PepsiCo’s Doritos® Chips, 3M’s ACE™ Brand Bandages, Kraft Food’s Lunchables, and GSK’s Nicorette Gum. She has selling experience through multiple channels including DTC, B2B, Grocery/On-line/Home Center Retail, and Dealer networks.

In her role as Marketing Department Director, Kelly looks holistically at the undergraduate curriculum and co-curricular activities to continually innovate and evolve the Marketing Major in our everchanging industry. She leads the major’s Career Forward Program which is a collaborative and innovative initiative designed to give students the tools and experiences needed to achieve their individual career goals. In addition, Kelly teaches undergraduates in variety of courses including Marketing Strategy, Marketing Channels, and Marketing in a Digital Age.

Kelly received a BA degree in International Economics from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill with a concentration in Customer and Product Management.
