Protest or Riot: How Media Covers Different Racial Groups
Join the WSB on February 26th from 4-5pm to discuss the public opinion and understanding of protests related to social movements. Media outlets have a lot of power in shaping the narrative of a movement and how certain groups are portrayed. Join Dr. Lori Lopez, Associate Professor of Media and Cultural Studies, as she discusses how media covers different racial groups and what impact that has had on the Black Lives Matter protest and more recent events.
