UHS Mental Health Services (MHS) has partnered with Uwill, an organization that provides virtual counseling during the day, evenings, weekends, and holidays for students to expand access to counseling, including for students who are outside of Wisconsin. Students start with 3 sessions at no cost.
From the FAQ sheet MHS has provided, “licensed mental health professionals are available for video, phone, chat, and message sessions during flexible hours- including nights and weekends. Students can get in quickly to see a counselor, with appointments typically available within 24 hours.” Additionally, “Uwill has licensed mental health professionals available in all 50 states and providers in many countries of the world.”
Uwill is best for “students whose concerns are a good fit for brief, solution-focused services.” Students can access UWill by visiting uwill.com. “From there, students register with a University of Wisconsin-Madison email address. They will soon receive an email confirmation to complete the registration process. After confirming their address, students can select a counselor and schedule an appointment.”
