While not being named the final winner, UW-Madison’s Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship was honored to be one of five finalists for the “Excellence in Entrepreneurship Teaching and Pedagogical Innovation” award at The Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC) annual conference. The award is based on differentiation from existing programs, learning outcomes, student engagement, and stakeholder support. In addition, Weinert Center Director Dan Olszewski was selected to present during the conference on “High Impact Entrepreneurial Bootcamp for STEM PhD and Postdocs.”
An international gathering of over 400 of the world’s leaders in entrepreneurship education, the annual GCEC conference meets to address emerging topics, share best practices, develop new programs, and collaborate to strengthen the roles of universities in educating future entrepreneurs. The 2019 GCEC event was hosted by the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship in Stockholm, Sweden from September 26-28.
