The Introduction to Wall Street workshop featured a practical look at what a career in finance entails and included two panel discussions about the key pillars of Wall Street: buying and selling. The event was also created as an exploratory opportunity, allowing students to gauge interest and build skills as they prepare for the finance industry’s accelerated recruitment timelines.

WSB celebrates first graduating class of refreshed executive MBA program
WSB’s revamped executive MBA program graduated its inaugural class of 20 students earlier this month. Built with flexibility in mind, the modernized program was uniquely designed to put today’s professionals on the fast track to the C-suite through a new curriculum, experiential learning, and an emphasis on skills like executive communication.
The Ticker
- The graduate rankings are in: WSB’s executive MBA debuted at #12 among public universities and the professional MBA climbed to #14 according to U.S. News & World Report.
- Special anniversary event: In March, WSB traveled to Hong Kong to celebrate the school’s 125th anniversary with nearly 130 Badger alumni and friends across East Asia.
- Among the Ivies, again: For the second time, UW–Madison was named a “new Ivy” by Forbes magazine for best preparing and graduating the talent prized by today’s employers.
- You’ve got mail: Keep an eye out for the latest issue of Update magazine, which publishes in mid-June.
- The skyrocket cheer, Fasching parties, and more: You’re undoubtedly familiar with beloved traditions like sitting on Abe’s lap or jumping around at Camp Randall—but what about UW–Madison’s lost traditions that shaped the Badger experience years ago?
- Thank you, donors: On Day of the Badger, over 260 alumni and friends came together to raise more than $116,000 for WSB!
