We are delighted to announce that Greg Reed has joined the Graaskamp Center as Associate Director. Greg, who is replacing Sharon McCabe, will focus on recruiting and career services for the Real Estate MBA and MS Programs, and work with the Graaskamp team to expand the Center’s role in applied learning and career services for real estate undergraduate students.
Greg has an established history with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with a BA in Political Science in 1983 and MS in Real Estate Investment in 1988. In addition to being a Cornerstone Member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, he has served as a volunteer mentor and coach to real estate students. For the past six years, he has also been a member of the UW-Madison’s Political Science Department’s Board of Visitors where he currently serves as Chair.

Most recently, he worked as Vice President and Senior Credit Officer at Moody’s Investors Service in New York City, where he monitored Moody’s rated commercial mortgage-backed securities and conducted structured finance market research. Prior to joining Moody’s, Greg was a Director in the Portfolio Management Group at MetLife Real Estate Investments, where he also worked as a Joint Venture Relationship Manager and Asset Manager. He was also an Assistant Vice President and Appraiser at L.W. Ellwood & Company.
Greg has a strong record of community service and is currently an appointed Commissioner on the City of Madison’s Community Development Authority; and previously served as President of his Manhattan co-op board and the Vice Chairman of the Borough of Madison, New Jersey Planning Board.
“I am pleased to have Greg Reed join our leadership team. He is a passionate Badger Real Estate alumnus who brings a wealth of real estate expertise, strong industry connections, and an easy style and bearing that will engage both Center Board members and students,” said Mark Eppli, Director of the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate.
Greg and his husband Michael are currently embarking on a major restoration of a 1916 Craftsman style home in the historic University Heights neighborhood of Madison.
