Summer 2021
Greetings Alumni and Friends of the Weinert Center,
Like most businesses and individuals, we have had many pivots and adjustments over the past year. The stories in this newsletter are some great examples of how the faculty, students and staff have had to be entrepreneurial in exploring new approaches to teaching, competing and working with startups. If all goes according to plan, the UW is looking forward to the fall semester being back to normal or at least full classrooms and fans filling the stands at Camp Randall. That really does sound great. We have all learned a great deal by having no choice but to experiment with new methods. It will be interesting to see which of these aspects will continue into the ‘hybrid’ future. The realms of business, communication and education will all be very different in 2022 and I hope even better due to what we have all learned from these experiments. The articles in this newsletter show that Badger alumni, students and faculty have all been an active part of running those experiments.
I hope you and loved ones have a wonderful summer.
