February 21, 2020

A marketing icon, Gayle Fuguitt (MBA ‘80) spent 32 years with General Mills, including 15 years as the Vice President of Global Consumer Insights, and more recently served as Chief of Customer Insight and Innovation at Foursquare. Fuguitt was the first female president and CEO of the Advertising Research Foundation, and a founding board member of the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Analytics and Insights at the Wisconsin School of Business.

In a conversation moderated by Vallabh Sambamurthy, WSB’s Albert O. Nicholas Dean, Fuguitt weighs in on the future of the marketing industry, offers advice to graduating MBA students, and shares the bold philosophy that has guided her in her own stratospheric career.

“If you’re not feeling afraid of any strategy you put together, then you haven’t gone far enough. If you’re comfortable, then you’re leaving something on the table.”
