Brian Christensen is the Executive Vice President of Global Managed Solutions and Collaboration at Protiviti, and is also a member of the Global Executive Team, overseeing firmwide operations. He was a founding managing director of the organization in 2002, and was previously a partner at Arthur Andersen.
Christensen has held various leadership roles over the years, including geography, industry, and solution responsibilities. Most recently, he acted as Protiviti’s practice leader for internal audit and financial advisory services. He is a licensed CPA and has participated in many professional associations.
Christensen was recognized by the Institute of Internal Auditors in 2022 with the Bradford Cadmus Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to the internal audit profession. In 2019, he was recognized by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) as an NACD 100 honoree for demonstrated excellence in the board room on corporate governance. Consulting magazine named him as one of the Top 25 Consultants in 2017 in the leadership category.
Christensen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BBA in accounting. He served on the board of directors for the UW Alumni Association from 1998 to 2004 and from 2006 to 2012. A member of the UW–Madison crew team while in school, he currently sits on the steering committee for the Men’s Crew Legacy Fund, and is a member of the National W Club.
Christensen and his wife, Donna, who is also a Wisconsin School of Business graduate, have two adult daughters and reside in Phoenix, Arizona. They enjoy traveling, spending time in the mountains, and returning to Wisconsin to see family and friends.
