Brillect

Kelly Weight is the visionary co-founder and CEO of Brillect, a women-owned consulting firm specializing in finance, accounting, digital and human resources solutions. With a career comprised of leadership roles at Target, Microsoft, and Salo, Kelly brings decades of experience and a deep understanding of the corporate world to her entrepreneurial journey.

Driven by a passion for people and a belief that business success stems from taking care of others, Kelly co-founded Brillect in 2021. Under her leadership, Brillect has grown into a $25+ million firm with over 150 employees, with offices in the Twin Cities and Milwaukee.

Kelly’s leadership is defined by her deep empathy and unwavering optimism. She has a unique ability to see possibilities where others might see obstacles, and she approaches challenges not as setbacks, but as opportunities for growth and connection. Her willingness to step into the unknown, take bold risks, and lead with vulnerability has been instrumental in Brillect’s success. Kelly leads with heart and a clear vision: that when people are cared for, they thrive, and so does the business.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a BBA in accounting, Kelly began her career at Arthur Andersen before transitioning into compliance, audit, and project management roles. Her journey eventually led her to Microsoft, where she served as an Account Executive before launching Brillect.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kelly is deeply committed to community service. She mentors students through Minnetonka High School’s VANTAGE program, supports nonprofits like Feed My Starving Children and Way to Grow Minneapolis, and has served on the board of Spay and Neuter Kansas City. Under her guidance, Brillect donates a portion of its net income annually to organizations such as St. Jude’s, Junior Achievement, and the National MS Society.

Kelly is also a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events, sharing her insights on leadership, entrepreneurship, and work-life integration. A proud hockey mom of three boys, dog lover, and avid runner, Kelly leads with heart, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to helping others thrive.
