Stephen Ranjan is the Global Head, Digital Health for Genentech and Roche Pharma. Stephen is responsible for leading, co-creating and implementing digital health strategy, activities, and programs within the Roche Pharma organization. His learnings from Diabetes Care combined with his extensive experience driving digital health at Merck & Co, Janssen Pharmaceuticals & Epic Systems will be useful in building a strong Digital Health team with a focus on early stage product leaderships & design capabilities.
With more than 20+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device and Health IT industry, Stephen has extensive experience driving open innovation (externally & internally) and establishing novel collaborations with customers and technology players such as Amazon, Verily and other digital health startups. Prior to joining Roche, Stephen worked at Merck & Co, Inc., Johnson & Johnson and Epic Systems. Stephen earned his MBA at University of Wisconsin-Madison (where he was a student in the Erdman Center) and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
