Tim Yarbrough is a senior financial executive with 20+ years of experience across a range of public and private technology companies: from the early-stage startup to the Fortune 100 public company.
Tim currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Checkr, Inc., a company that has transformed the background check industry through its use of better data, advanced technology, and modern product innovation. As Checkr has grown, it has evolved into a comprehensive people‑data platform—empowering confident, fair decisions across many aspects of life, including employment, housing, childcare, and other essential services.
Prior to joining Checkr, Tim served as the Chief Financial Officer of ZipRecruiter, Inc. [NYSE: ZIP], where he held several executive leadership roles beginning in 2014. During his tenure, he helped guide the company’s growth from a Series B startup into a publicly-listed category leader. Before ZipRecruiter, Tim was Director of Finance for Convertro, a business intelligence platform, helping to drive its sale to AOL.com for over $100 million. Earlier in his career, Tim held multiple financial, strategic and operational positions across several business segments at Qualcomm Inc [NASDAQ: QCOM].
Tim holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a B.S. in Accounting from Oral Roberts University.
A Wisconsin native, Tim now lives in the San Francisco/Bay Area in California with his wife and three kids.
