Jim Roemer has 30+ years of CRE experience, including regional bank, REIT, and life company lending, acquisition, and asset management. Since 2004 he has served as Managing Director, U.S. Commercial Real Estate, in the Milwaukee office of CIBC Bank USA (f/k/a The PrivateBank). Prior to this, Roemer was senior vice president at Irgens Partners, a regional developer and manager of office, healthcare, and mixed-use real estate. He has also held positions with US Bank, General Growth Properties, Equitable Real Estate, and MetLife.
Roemer received his BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987 and an MBA from Saint Louis University in 1992. He currently serves as President of WREAA Fund I GP, Inc., the general partner of the fund that is the focal point of the PE track of the MS degree offered by the Wisconsin Real Estate Program, and as immediate past president of the WREAA. Roemer also serves on the Executive and Loan Committees of MEDC – Wisconsin.
