We hope you are enjoying a wonderful winter! We are thrilled to share the Winter 2025 edition of the Weinert Center newsletter with you.
In this issue, we highlight the incredible ways our students are connecting with fellow entrepreneurial minds on campus. It’s always inspiring to see the wealth of insights and experiences shared by our speakers and alumni through events like the Distinguished Entrepreneurs Lunch, StartUp Learning Community, and Think Like an Entrepreneur.
We also feature Jake Piekarski (BBA ’24), who recently made a splash on Shark Tank (spoiler alert: they loved his idea). Speaking of Eship alumni on TV, it was exciting to see Fetch’s first Super Bowl ad, where they gave away $1.2 million. You can read more about their journey in an earlier article.
In our Board Member News, we introduce Alex Ehrnrooth, a Weinert Center alum and our newest advisory board member. Alex brings a unique perspective from leading a successful international family business, Virala, the largest shareholder of the iconic Fiskars Group, established in 1649.
Our Alumni Spotlight shines on Saurabh Bhandari (MBA ’21), who shares his entrepreneurial journey within Google and now Intuit.
