The Weinert Center of Entrepreneurship has been a pioneer in entrepreneurship education, outreach, and research. We are thrilled to share the exciting news that Emeritus Professor Jon Udell and alumnus Keith Streckenbach have graciously established The Jon Udell and Keith Streckenbach Scholarship, an endowed fund that will support undergraduate students. Recipients of this scholarship must be Wisconsin residents, high performing, and studying entrepreneurship at UW-Madison.
Jon & Susan Udell
Jon Udell is a devoted and loyal Badger having earned three UW degrees (BBA ’57, MBA ‘58, and Ph.D. ’61). As a professor of marketing in the Wisconsin School of Business, Jon worked on free enterprise education and collaborated frequently with Professor Robert (Bob) W. Pricer and Professor Al Filley. In 1992 they merged their programs to create The Enterprise Center. In 1999 it was renamed the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship after James J. Weinert, an alumnus of the Wisconsin School of Business. Jon, along with his wife Susan, who earned two UW degrees (MM ’60 and Ph.D. ’90), have been long-standing supporters of UW contributing to its academic legacy.
Susan & Keith Streckenbach
Keith Streckenbach earned two UW degrees (BS ’90 and MBA ’99). Keith and Jon Udell bonded over their shared passion for entrepreneurship and the arts. Keith, now a serial entrepreneur, operates Pharmacy Stars, the world’s #1 Enterprise Pharmacy Quality Management System, along with his wife Susan, who is a fellow Badger, having also earned two UW degrees (BA ’01 and MA ’08).
Jon and Keith’s $100K gift was doubled to $200K due to a matching dollar gift and will provide a scholarship for a deserving recipient covering the majority of the student’s tuition. We express our sincere gratitude to these two esteemed alumni for their generous support and unwavering commitment to create an impactful entrepreneurial legacy for future generations of Business Badgers.
