The first Wisconsin Invitational Consulting Case Competition welcomed 18 competitive, undergraduate teams from nine institutions, offering students the chance to learn and compete against the best of the best.

The event kicked off Friday night as teams arrived in Madison and included a keynote speech by Collin Brinkman, managing director of Accenture. Saturday’s competition started early and Grainger Hall was buzzing with excitement and activity as teams competed in different areas throughout the building.

“The Q&A surprised us a bit, but I think we did well,” said the University of Chicago’s Luc Scipio del Campo, as he and his team exited out of the Learning Commons after the competition’s first round.

Throughout the day, students were able to network with top employers during designated coffee chats, while Badger Consulting and the Wisconsin Consulting Club volunteered their time to run mock case interviews with students desiring some last-minute practice.

After rounds of rigorous competition, a team of Business Badgers took the top spot on the podium. It was a hard-won, storybook conclusion, for the inaugural event.
