Accenture Leadership Center is hosting our annual Service Day event on Tuesday, November 19th. This year’s Service Day is a 4 hour session with 3 separate shift options where students can participate in different volunteer activities, including the opportunity to volunteer at the Crossing with The Food Recovery Network.
Shift 1 Option 1: (4:00pm-6:00pm) : Letters of Love at the ALC (Room 1250)
Shift 1 Option 2: (5:00-6:30): Meal-prep crew at The Crossing with Food Recovery Network
Shift 2 (6:30pm-8:00pm) : Clean up crew at The Crossing with Food Recovery Network

Shift Options:
● ALC Service Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Leadership and Engagement Lounge (Grainger Hall 1250). ALL volunteers, whether you’re assisting with the Food Recovery Network or staying in the lounge to work on Letters for Love, should meet in the lounge beforehand.
● The first volunteer shift for the Food Recovery Network will meet in the lounge at 4:30 PM and depart for The Crossing at 4:45 PM. The second shift will meet at 6:00 PM and depart at 6:15 PM. If you plan to volunteer with the Food Recovery Network, please commit to the shift you sign up for so we can maintain an accurate headcount.
● If you’re participating in Letters for Love, you’re welcome to join us in the lounge any time between 4:00 and 6:00 PM; feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.
● Thank you for contributing to this year’s Service Day! Let us know if you have any questions. There will be 2 activities: Volunteering with Food Recovery Network OR Letters of Love. Please choose which activity you are interested in participating in.
● For volunteering with Food Recovery Network, there will be 2 shifts at different times
● Meal-prep Crew will be responsible heating food and preparing it for our buffet style meal
● Clean up Crew will be responsible for cleaning and putting away all materials and returning the space to how we originally found it
● NOTE: any students volunteering with Food Recovery Network, please wear closed toed shoes and tie up long hair.
● Free food will be provided for ANY activity that you choose from
