Angela’s experience in the nonprofit cultural sector has included local and national organizations in a broad range of capacities. She has worked as an executive director for an orchestra, a science educator for a museum, and a policy researcher. She has also worked in the arts world on policy issues, serving for many years as the director of research for the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, where she supported the work of arts grantmakers across the country. She is often invited to speak at conferences on a variety of topics related to the arts, research, and education. She has served on numerous national advisory panels including for the National Endowment for the Arts, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Arts Education Partnership.
As a partner in Third Eye Cultural Collaborative she provides strategy, management, and evaluation services to support arts organizations. She is also currently on staff at the Smithsonian, serving as interim director of development for museums within the institution.
Angela earned her BS in Physics from the California Institute of Technology, a BMA in Music from the University of Windsor, and an MBA in Arts Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
