Mr. Maurer is Senior Vice President and Lead Portfolio Manager for EverWest Real Estate Investors’ open-end fund series, GWL U.S. Property Fund and the Plus Strategy series of funds. His responsibilities include strategy execution, investment selection and performance results as well as overseeing allocations and management of third party REIT managers for PLUS funds’ public/private relative value strategy.
Prior to joining EverWest, he was Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management at Bell Partners, where he was responsible for portfolio management and investor relations for a series of core and value-add institutional investor funds across a 20,000 unit apartment portfolio valued in excess of $4 billion. He was also a co-founding partner of Arsenal Real Estate Partners, a private real estate investment management firm. He has deep experience with transactions, development, fund raising and fund management experience, and since 1997 has been a fiduciary to institutional investors with respect to core and value-added, investment programs.
Mr. Maurer is a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) and University of Wisconsin – Grasskamp Center Board of Advisors.
