As Director in the Private Debt & Equity group at Northwestern Mutual, Sachin is responsible for the analysis, structuring and negotiation of private equity, mezzanine and private placement investments. The Private Debt & Equity group manages a portfolio of more than $20 billion for the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance co., typically investing $600 – $800 million in Mezzanine/Direct Private Equity and $3 – $4 billion in private placement bonds on an annual basis. Sachin is involved in all aspects of deal analysis including financial & industry analysis, business due diligence, negotiation of terms and recommendation to internal investment committees.
Sachin joined Northwestern Mutual in 2000 as an Associate, after completing his MBA from UW-Madison as part of the first group in the Applied Corporate Finance (ACFIN) program. While finishing his MBA, he also worked as an Associate intern at Facilitator Capital Fund, a $130 million private equity fund based in Wisconsin.
Sachin is a native of Bombay, India where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. In his spare time, Sachin likes to travel, play golf and is involved with fundraising for development projects in India. He is also an outdoor enthusiast.
