International Perspective
by Jaishree Sanadhya
As an international student, I was looking for a university where I would feel welcomed and could develop my own community. UW-Madison exceeded all my expectations. Even before starting the program, I was assigned buddies to help me in my transitions with changing countries, job function and industries.
WSB and the Center provide an academic environment that pushes students to explore and encourage personal and professional development. I have enjoyed participating in classroom discussions with my peers who come from different cultures, industries, and experiences. Further, I am very fortunate to have experienced several academic opportunities off campus – most notably a supply chain case competition in Texas and an exchange program with the University of Stavanger in Norway.
It was rewarding to use everything that I have learned here at WSB in my internship this summer at Facebook.
First-Year Perspective
by Amelia Kittson
As I reflect on my first year in the Center’s MBA program, I am pleased to report nothing but wonderful, positive experiences. It is not always an easy transition, to pick up your life and move across the country in order to go back to school. But I am so grateful that I took the plunge, and I would not trade my time in the Center for anything.
UW’s unique specialization MBA model truly does contribute to a wealth of learning opportunities. We as students come from all over the world, with an extremely wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives. The result is a strong, collaborative academic environment that pushes the envelope, and allows us all to learn and grow from each other’s collective experiences.
Attending UW-Madison has had a significant impact on my life, and I marvel at just how much I’ve learned and grown, both personally and professionally, since joining this program. I cannot wait to begin my second year and continue this amazing MBA journey.
I am so proud to be a Badger and a member of the Center family. On, Wisconsin!
