Join us for the next broadcast of Badger Executive Talks. The Wisconsin School of Business is proud to feature Business Badger Laura Francis BBA (’88), CEO of SI-BONE.

SI-BONE is a medical device company that has pioneered a proprietary minimally invasive surgical implant system called iFuse to treat sacroiliac joint dysfunction that often causes severe lower back pain. Francis has held multiple leadership roles in the company including chief financial officer and chief operating officer and played a key part in taking SI-BONE Inc. public in 2018. During this live virtual event, Dean Sambamurthy and Francis will discuss present-day topics affecting the health care industry, share important leadership lessons, and engage viewers in a live Q&A.

Laura Francis, CEO, SI-BONE

Laura A. Francis has served as chief executive officer and a director of the board since April 2021.  As chief financial officer since May 2015 and chief operating officer since July 2019, Francis played a fundamental role in bringing the company public in October 2018 and building the operations of the business. Prior to joining SI-BONE, Francis held other executive and leadership roles with public and private life science companies, including Auxogyn, now part of Progyny (Nasdaq: PGNY), Promega Corporation, and Bruker Corporation. Earlier in her career, she was an engagement manager with McKinsey & Company and Audit Manager with Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers. Francis has been a director for Shockwave Medical since January 2019, where she serves as audit committee chair and compensation committee member. She received a BBA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MBA from Stanford University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of California.
