Doug Gordon co-founded Shellback Capital in 2013.
From April 2001 to 2013, Mr. Gordon worked at Vinik Asset Management as a Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst with sector expertise across the Consumer Discretionary industry. Mr. Gordon managed the D. Gordon Overseas Fund, Ltd. and the D. Gordon Partners, L.P. funds from January 2003 until they were consolidated into the parallel Vinik funds structure in July 2012. He also managed a carve-out of the Vinik funds in 2002 and from July 2012 to June 2013.
Prior to Vinik, Mr. Gordon was a managing director and equity analyst at Banc of America Securities and a senior financial officer and senior vice president for marketing and product at Hollywood Video. Mr. Gordon began his career as an equity analyst at Montgomery Securities. Mr. Gordon received his BBA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1989.
