About Kaitlin
Kaitlin Daniels is an Assistant Professor of Operations and Information Management at the Wisconsin School of Business.
Professor Daniels research focuses on platform operations. She uses mathematical models to study how individuals and platforms make decisions, especially in on-demand service settings like ride-hailing. Professor Daniels' work explores how to make platforms more efficient and how platform decisions affect other stakeholders. Her work has appeared in top journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management and Production and Service Management.
Professor Daniels has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in operations management, supply chain management, and optimization. Currently she teaches in the full-time and executive MBA programs at WSB.
Professor Daniels received her Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Duke University. Previously, she was on the faculty at Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
