About Yu
I’m an assistant professor in the Operations and Information Management Department at WSB. I studied Applied Mathematics as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley and went on to earn my PhD in Operations Research at the MIT Operations Research Center.
My research focuses on leveraging AI methodologies to address significant problems in healthcare, examining both operational efficiency and clinical decision-making. Driven by a passion for creating tangible, real-world impact, I frequently collaborate with healthcare institutions to implement solutions that directly improve patient care and hospital operations. My work integrates machine learning, optimization, and advanced analytics, and I've had the honor of being recognized as a Takeda Fellow by the MIT School of Engineering.
